**COURSE WALKING WORKSHOP BEFORE THE FUN MATCH**
Make the most out of your fun match day! We are offering a course walking workshop with Kathleen Alles before the regular fun match walk throughs. This workshop is for anyone who has trouble deciding where to do front and rear crosses, serpentines, changes of arm and other handling maneuvers when running courses. Kathleen will walk both the Standard and Jumpers courses with you. She will show you a clear and efficient way to run them. You will be able to ask questions and discuss the various handling options that best suit you and your dog. Limited to 10 handlers. Pre-register below or sign up the day of. The workshop starts promptly at 9:00am and the cost is $10.
Cost for Fun Match: (for eight runs): $50 first dog, $25 each additional dog run by the same handler, pre-registration. $60 first dog, $35 each additional dog, day of registration. No refund of entry fees after the closing date but credit will be issued for future fun matches.
Closing Date: Preregistration closes the Thursday night before the fun match or when limit is reached.
Start Time: Walk thoughs- 9:30am. First dogs run- 10:00am.
Course Walking Workshop- 9:00am.
Who can sign up: All dogs must be one year or older, have at least six months of agility lessons and be able to do all equipment safely. NO running dogs on equipment on leash allowed. Handlers must be 12 years or older and have had at least six months of agility lessons.
How it works: Standard and Jumpers courses will run at the same time in two different rings. There will be both Advanced and Novice courses numbered in each ring. You will have 90 seconds in the ring to run the courses or work on anything you wish. You may jump any height. Course maps will be available for all courses. Treats, toys and lavish praise are strongly encouraged on course.
Other Stuff: Please clean up after your dog. Bitches in heat are allowed to participate in the fun match if they wear panties and are kept separate from the other dogs as much as possible. Some shade is available but bring your own in case it is all taken. Coffee, hot drinks and muffins will be available in the morning. There are water tubs to cool your dog during hot weather. We have all plastic safety jumps, rubberized contacts, 24″ weave poles and break away tire.
Dogs that are aggressive towards people or other dogs or who are barking excessively will be asked to leave without refund of entry fees. No harsh verbal or physical corrections allowed. Bark, shock, prong or choke chain collars are not allowed on the grounds.
Weather: The fun match will be canceled in case of rain. An email will be sent to all registered participants by 7:30am on the morning of the event at the latest. It will also be posted on our Facebook page as well as our website. You have the options of having your check shredded, your PayPal account refunded or a credit for future fun matches.
