AGILITY FOUNDATION CLASS

A new Foundation class will start in July or when we have enough people to start a class. To add your name to the Interest List, please click on “Send Your Booking” below.

The class with be held either Wednesday evenings or Friday mornings depending on when most people can attend. When we have enough people signed up, you will  be notified when the class will be starting.  To add your name to the list, you need to create a Handler Profile (look under the Login to the right of this page). Don’t worry, we respect your privacy and you will not get any spam!

Foundation training is the most important part of training an agility dog! Every dog and handler needs a good foundation, to be able to learn the necessary skills for performing the obstacles and running courses successfully.

Agility really just consists of a lot of fun tricks! Foundations class is where we start to learn those fun tricks that will eventually turn into “real” agility behaviors such as weave poles, turns, and contact behavior. It’s a great way to build a fantastic relationship with your dog, and the better relationship, the better your agility skills! This is one of the joys of positive rewards based training. Agility is engagement, chasing, impulse control and tricks taken to a whole new level. We will be doing action based games such as chasing and playing with toys, impulse control games that make staying fun, and learning a lot of tricks. Whether you go on to learn more advanced agility skills, just want to build your dog’s confidence, or brush up on manners and tricks in a new way, you’re sure to learn something new in Agility Foundations Class.

Class runs in 6 week sessions. The cost is $150 for the session.
